The Colorado SBDC Network offers free consulting, training, events and technical support services tailored to contractors and professional design, architecture and engineering firms. If you are just starting your business and are interested in exploring opportunities with CDOT or if you're an experienced subcontractor looking to grow and expand your business, we have the expertise and resources to help.
Connect2DOT supportive services and resources are currently available at the Denver Metro SBDC, Northeast East Central Colorado SBDC, San Luis Valley SBDC, and Grand Junction SBDC. Additional SBDC's across the state will be offering the Connect2DOT Program in early 2013.

In addition to the SBDC's regular free and unlimited consulting services, we now offer consulting for firms working on transportation-related projects. Our consultants have diverse backgrounds and direct business expertise available to help you start and grow your business.
Our team includes several professionals that have worked in the transportation and construction industries for more than 15 years. Many have also managed a small business enterprise and have dedicated their careers to helping other small business owners. Technical Support Services
Several SBDC's will be equipped with a dedicated kiosk that provides free access to a variety of valuable online resources. A kiosk is currently available at the Denver Metro SBDC. Please visit the lower downtown center if you are interested in searching or viewing:

CDOT is sponsoring a limited number of free online accounts for DBE and/or ESB certified construction firms that are actively pursuing and bidding on CDOT projects. Bid Express is the online bidding system used by CDOT to simplify bidding and facilitate interaction between primes and subcontractors. This is specifically for construction contractors working on highway construction projects. A free account gives you unlimited access to project plan sheets and bid documents at a savings of nearly $2,000 per year!
Apply today by following these 3 easy steps:
- Small Business Network Prepaid Account Request Sign Up: Click this link to register on the BidX system. Complete the form and select "Colorado Department of Transportation" from the "Select an Agency" dropdown box. Click "Request an Account" to return here and complete the last two steps.
- CDOT Sponsored Account Application: Click this link to download the application. Fill it out completely, making sure to sign it and attach a copy of your DBE certification work codes.
- Usage Agreement: Click this link to download the agreement. Read it, sign and date it. Mail this with the application (#2 above) and DBE certification work codes to the address listed at the bottom of page 1 of the application.
