10-15-2015- Celebration of Energy Efficient Buildings

Description:

Join The City and County of Denver to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Denver City Energy Project Bench-marking Program and the launch of the Lease for Efficiency Challenge. The city will honor buildings and businesses leading the way on energy efficiency. The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce will be the showcase project. Complimentary breakfast and networking included.

You can help make Denver more energy efficient and receive and invitation to be recognized by Mayor Hancock at the event by joining in the Lease for Efficiency Challenge. The Challenge asks businesses to commit to ask one powerful question the next time that they rent space in Denver: What is the 1-100 ENERGY STAR score of the building? Asking about the ENERGY STAR score is an easy way to start a dialogue about energy efficiency today or in the leasing process, similar to how you might ask about the miles per gallon of a car when car shopping. Energy efficiency helps the bottom line because under most commercial leases tenants pay the energy bills. Its also a simple, yet high impact, way to help the City meet its climate goals since the energy used in large buildings results in 57% of Denver's greenhouse gas emissions. Sign-up by October 7nd to be recognized at the event. The short web-form takes just minutes to fill out.
