02-24-2015 Trout Tank Auditions

We're seeking up-and-coming Colorado entrepreneurs interested in auditioning to participate in the Trout Tank. The Trout Tank is a pitch event where up to five entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to vie for funding from local lenders and investors, meet local successful entrepreneurs, and win cash. During auditions on Feb. 24, present your best five-minute pitch to a selection committee and your peers. Up to five businesses will be selected to present at the Trout Tank on April 7.

Preparing Your Pitch:

We will host a webinar to go over what you can expect at auditions and answer any questions you may have. We will also provide a few templates to help you work on your five-minute pitch. All registrants will receive a link to the webinar login.

Eligibility & Requirements:

Any entrepreneur interested in competing at the Trout Tank may audition. Start-up concepts and existing businesses are welcome. If selected to compete at the Trout Tank, the Denver Metro SBDC will work with you one-on-one to continue perfect your pitch and polish your financials during the month leading up to the event. Selected contestants will be expected to:

  • Go through Rockies Venture Club Pitch Academy (date TBD)
  • Meet one-on-one with SBDC financial consultant and complete Funding Request Preview
