11-03-2015 State of Small Business
Description:
At State of Small Business, business leaders will learn about the Denver metro area's current economic outlook, trends and talent pipeline gaps. In just five years, Colorado will have the highest anticipated education attainment levels in the U.S. That means nearly three-quarters of Colorado workers will need a certificate, training or degree to meet the needs of our economy in industries like health care, construction, IT and more. Join us to hear about the gap and how we're working close it. In addition to trends, State of Small Business will talk about the business practices that have shaped our community. To do so, the Daniels Fund Ethics Initative at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will award the inaugural Bill Daniels Ethical Leader of the Year Award to Evan Makovsky, Managing Partner at NAI Shames Makovsky. This annual award is based on the eight principles of business ethics that cable television pioneer Bill Daniels espoused during his long and successful business career.
