4.14.17 SBA Certifications

As part of the U.S. Federal Government's commitment to buy goods and services from small businesses, there are small business set-aside programs and certifications to help small businesses compete for and win federal contracts.

During this webinar:

The SBA Colorado District Office's Business Opportunity Specialist team will provide an overview on the following certification programs and socio-economic categories for federal contracting:

  • 8(a) Business Development Program
  • HUBZone Program
  • Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB)
  • Service Disable Veteran Owned Program (SDVO)

This webinar will not cover the introductory to federal contract procedures. Small business owners should first attend either the February 3rd webinar or take the SBA Online Learning Center Course " Business Opportunities: A Guide to Winning Federal Contracts" for the basic information on federal contracting for small businesses.
