The City of Evans and the Evans Economic Development Advisory Council are pleased to announce the winners of this year's Spotlight Business Awards. Awardees will be recognized on March 30th with a reception and dinner at the Riverside Library and Cultural Center.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Award - Awardee: Dairy Specialists
The entrepreneur takes a vision and turns it into reality. This award recognizes a business which has developed an innovative product or a valuable new service, or one which has adapted and improved a current product or service to keep pace with the times and the needs of its clients.

Community Support Award - Awardee: The Humane Society of Weld County
This award recognizes a business or business person whose civic and community service goes beyond "normal" responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact for all residents. The nominee should be someone who sets an example for commitment to public service while maintaining a strong business image.

Resilience Award - Awardee:  K&K Laser Creations
There is a natural cycle of ups and downs in any business; based on the economy, the shift in trends and a whole host of other factors. The Resilience Award is designed to recognize a business who has overcome a uniquely hard event or series of hardships and continued to thrive. This is a new category for 2017.

The Newcomer Award - Awardee: E Graphix
Many factors go into the decision a business makes to establish themselves in any given location. Evans wants to be the kind of community that is business-friendly and we want to acknowledge when a business chooses Evans as the home base of their operations.
