6/7 CDOT Estimating - Rex
This series of workshops is looking at the estimating process including areas that affect planning, scheduling, project management, and yes, pricing and the bid presentation. Though this program was originally developed for the CDOT program, it is relevant to anyone or any business that must bid for their work.
Rex Davis & Associates, LLC has spent many years developing this program through experience and work with clients. The goal is to provide knowledge that will help you become better in your estimating processes by being more accurate, more competitive and you can take your budget right onto the project management when you receive the work.
This program will cover:
- Pre-Estimate preparation (with specification reading and interpretation of the CSI MasterFormat 2004 division coding)
- Estimate take-off and math I
- Estimate take-off and math II
- Pricing materials
- Figuring your overhead costs, profits, margins & markups
- Preparing your bid for presentation
