2017.07.13 Backflow Prevention
Description:
Backflow occurs when water flowing from our community's water distribution system to a commercial business reverses direction and flows backward into the water distribution system. This reversal may carry pollutants or contaminants from the business customer's processes into the water distribution system, potentially putting your customers and your employees at risk. The State now requires Colorado Springs Utilities to ensure that all commercial businesses have backflow prevention assemblies in operation.
In the near future, Utilities will need to survey to assist your business in becoming compliant. This informational session will address what backflow prevention is and how your business should comply with the new requirements.
