3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

In late September of 2019, the Federal Department of Labor announced the new Overtime Rule, which will go into effect January 1, 2020. In this training, we'll discuss the details of the new ruling that's expected to affect 1.3 million workers in the U.S.

     Topics covered:

           * Increases to minimum salary requirements for exempt employees

           * How to include bonuses as part of the minimum salary requirement

           * What other tests must be passed before you can be exempt from paying overtime to your hourly or salary employees

Now is the perfect time for employers and managers to assess the functions of all hourly and salary employees to determine if they may be classified as exempt going forward, or if they must be paid minimum wage and overtime starting in 2020.
