This workshop will get into the details of what you need to know to create accurate and responsive bids. It is a great follow up to the Construction Bidding & Estimating Basics - Part 1 class on June 13 and it will help you continue to improve your estimating skills and create more accurate bids for construction jobs.

The workshop will cover:

  • Site investigations/Checklist
  • Direct & Indirect cost
  • Labor & material factors
  • Bid qualifications

Suggested Audience:

Construction subcontractors, DBE certified firms, contractors interested in working on CDOT and other government construction projects, and any staff responsible for estimating construction jobs.

Instructor:

Bob Smith has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and has assisted hundreds of small businesses with developing estimating processes and submitting accurate bids for construction projects. Bob is a consultant for the CDOT/SBDC Connect2DOT Program and Managing Partner of Eaton Cole Construction Services which specializes in construction management, preconstruction services, and developer assistance for all facets of the project delivery process.
