Are you a current or aspiring business owner or innovator in the food industry ? Are you hungry to get going ? Join us for the SOCO Food-preneur Accelerator Program ! The Food-preneur Accelerator Program is the quickest, most affordable, and most comprehensive way to launch your food industry business or take your business to the next level! Curriculum: 1. Startup Mechanics: Business Essentials & Best Practices in the Food Industry 2. Developing Your Foodie Business Model Canvas 3. Planning and Research: Customer 4. Development & Value Proposition 5. Product Development: Lean Prototyping & Protecting Your Assets 6. Organizational Matters: Management and Legal Structure 7. Marketing “Behind the Scenes”: Storytelling & Branding 8. Marketing “On Stage”: Sales Strategies, Tactics, and Implementation- utilizing a Pitch Deck Presentation 9. Financial Overview: Books, Records, and Controls 10. Managing Your Money: Financial Planning using Financial Statements, Budgets, and Assumptions 11. Financing Your Business: Preparing For and Raising the Money You Need What is the Accelerator Program? Includes : 1. group instruction and individual consulting by a network of experts and mentors 2. hands-on support and guidance while building connections for their business 3. The Accelerator Program will provide you the education, confidence, and motivation to succeed 4. Understand your value proposition and customer base, improved marketing techniques, enhanced organizational and financial management skills, and networking opportunities. 5. opportunity to pitch at the SoCo Entrepreneurship Competition 2020. 6. The program class meets for 3 hours, one time a week for 10 weeks. Participants will have access to consulting after the class as needed. 7. Who will teach the program? Program is taught by a SBDC state certified instructor. Sessions will include special guest speakers comprised by a team of small business experts for technical assistance and mentorship. 10.
