Chip Cards are Coming: How Small Businesses Can Prepare for the Deadline

Sep

Tue 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

Description:

The nationwide switch from magnetic stripe credit cards to EMV chip cards is well underway. Is your business prepared? If not, you're leaving your business open to liability issues and your customers are more susceptible to fraud. If you don't swap the swipe-and-sign card reader out for an EMV card reader by Oct. 1, 2015, you could have to eat costs and chargebacks associated with fraudulent transactions rather than your payments processor. To help you learn about the new chip technology, we've called on payment security experts from First Bank and Visa. In this free breakfast session, you'll hear from payment industry experts and connect directly with merchants who have already migrated to the chip technology. See how the EMV chip technology works with a live demonstration. If you accept credit or debit cards at your business, this important educational event is for you.
