Business Model Canvas - Part 2: The Components
The Business Model Canvas is a popular business planning tool for a reason: you can test your concept with a one-page business plan. This template allows you to visually map out the start to your business plan or operation revamp on a single page. The Business Model Canvas can be designed on paper, on a computer or even using sticky notes on a poster-sized model on your wall. You’ll walk away knowing which segment of your business concept to focus in on as you move to your next stages of planning.
Part 2 will provide you with an overview of how to fill in each of the nine components of the Business Model Canvas, along with suggestions on market research tools to aid your process. Part 1 included a walk-through of what the Business Model Canvas is, how it can help your planning process, and the instructions on how to get started right away. This is also available in the on-demand catalogue.
Taught by SBDC Consultant Don Rowe. Following these sessions, we encourage you to bring your completed Business Model Canvas to an individual SBDC consulting session to take your concept to the next level.
