Introduction to Quickbooks Desktop

One of the biggest challenges in starting and running a small business is dealing with the finances. Most small business owners are not accountants, but still need to understand how much money they are bringing in and how that money is spent. This seminar will introduce you to QuickBooks Desktop, the most popular small business accounting software on the market, and show how it can help you manage your business and save time. TOPICS INCLUDE How to set up your QB Desktop account How to create and effective chart of accounts How to create lists: the key to invoices and cash receipts Basic Sales and payment processing How to create customers and track their sales information How to create vendors and track 1099 information How to make billing less painful The power of a good profit and loss report Banking and credit card payments We encourage you to bring your laptop with the QuickBooks Desktop software already downloaded. However, you are not required to bring a laptop or have the software before the course. A QuickBooks guide, handouts, snacks and water will be provided. We will have a 1 hour lunch break from 12pm - 1pm. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or enjoy lunch in downtown Durango.
