Fri 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Topic: Start-up Assistance

What’s the framework that is relevant to entrepreneurs, startups and emerging companies? The Business Model Canvas (BMC)! This is a robust framework for developing your business model, using a field-tested set of nine (9) related processes to create, define, model and test your business ideas and viability. But what about the traditional business plan? Sure, they still exist, but they fail to address the interaction of various parts of your business idea and model, and the linear approach may not address key aspects of your business idea and emerging company. Rather, the Business Model Canvas approach addresses your unique business ideas and solutions, how you’ll connect to customers, what is your cost structure and revenue streams, along with key processes, partners and resources you’ll need for business success. During the 3-hour “hands-on” workshop, you’ll work on your Business Model Canvas, and learn the tools, processes and testing protocol to development your idea (or refine your exiting business) into viable and profitable business. For the curious, we are using the Strategyzer business model canvas approach: https://www.strategyzer.com/canvas/business-model-canvas Business Model Canvas print outs, sticky notes, and presentation slides will be provided at this workshop. We encourage you to bring a notepad for additional note taking. More about your BMC facilitator & workshop leader? In addition to owning and operating businesses and providing management consulting services in the Durango and Four Corners region, Mr. Welch has extensive experience in entrepreneurial training, business model canvas workshops, startup company formation and presentation coaching for emerging companies seeking customers and funding.
