About Trout Tank Pitch Accelerator

We're seeking Colorado entrepreneurs interested in participating in Trout Tank. Trout Tank is a training program and event meant to educate and integrate entrepreneurs into the business community in the Denver region. The Trout Tank: Pitch Accelerator kicks off with Initial Pitches where participants present their best five-minute pitch to a feedback committee and their peers. Once participants have completed the initial pitch, the training begins.

The Denver Metro SBDC and its partners will provide a Funding Options Panel , and a special Trout Tank version of the Rockies Venture Club Pitch Academy , and a Funding Request Preview . This training is meant to hone and strengthen participants pitches and prepare them for the Final Auditions.

At the Final Auditions, each participant will get to show what they have learned and pitch one last time for a panel of judges. The top pitches will be chosen to present at the Trout Tank Pitch Event.

Preparing Your Initial Pitch:

The Denver Metro SBDC will send you a webinar to go over what you can expect at auditions and help answer any questions you may have. We will also provide a few templates to help you work on your five-minute pitch. All registrants will receive the webinar to get you started.

Eligibility & Requirements:

All startups and existing businesses are welcome. Companies that participate in the Initial Pitches will be entered for a chance to pitch at the main event. The Denver Metro SBDC will work with you one-on-one to continue to perfect your pitch and polish your financials during the six weeks leading up to the event. All contestants will be eligible to:

Attend Funding Options Panel ($40 value)
Attend a workshop with SBDC financial consultant and complete Funding Request Preview
Go through a special Trout Tank edition ofRockies Venture Club Pitch Academy($150 value)
Assistance in completing a pitch deck and pitch packet
Pitch at Final Auditions for a chance to compete in the Trout Tank: Final Event
Pitch or attend the Trout Tank: Final Event ($20 value)
