Special Notice: Thank you for your intention to participate in the “Access to Money and Resources” conference scheduled for April 27-28, 2020 at Mount Princeton Hot Springs. While we are very excited about the quality of presentations on the agenda, as well as the diversity among the registrants, we are also evaluating how the unfolding COVID-19 public health situation might impact the event. Please know that we are communicating regularly with Chaffee County Public Health and Office of Emergency Management, OEDIT, UAACOG, DOLA, CHFA and local officials, and will make recommendations based on their expert direction. Should there be a change of plans, we will reach out via email before March 27th.” For those of you who also made room reservations to stay if the event is canceled you will not have any fees charged to you for cancellations. The March 27th date is just about 30 days before the event, and it provides us two full weeks to seek additional guidance, which seems to be coming at us pretty quickly. About the Conference: April 27th and 28th, 2020: We are excited to announce that the Chaffee County Office of Housing has partnered with our regional Small Business Development Center, our Economic Development Corp., and the UAACOG Development Corp, to host a regional conference we are calling: “Access to Money and Resources.”  we are pleased to host the following keynote speakers: - Betsy Markey, Executive Director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and - Rick Garcia, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. Perhaps even more exciting, is that the intent of the conference is to link entrepreneurs with financial capital to bring their ideas to fruition.  Day one of the conference CONNECTS SMALL BUSINESSES AND START UPS with funding & business resources. Lenders, investors, (in public and private sectors) and other support organizations will showcase their products, including loans, grants, and investments. The afternoon allows attendees the opportunity to meet with funders and business resources to discuss funding options and sign up for free or low-cost business resources. Day Two AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPERS AND TRADESMEN bring YOUR ideas to fruition by Networking with Real Money. You will have time dedicated for people like you to present your housing and/or business development ideas in front of this room full of people with the capital and other resources to bring your ideas to fruition.  You must register to speak by emailing bgray@chaffeecounty.org. This innovative approach to getting small-scale development projects funded has gained the attention of the Colorado Housing Finance Authority, who is co-sponsoring the event – as well as the attention of local, state-wide, regional, and national capital lenders and investors.
