Employees 101: Start to Finish - Are you a new business about to hire your first employee or a seasoned business wondering how to keep employees engaged and motivated? This workshop will provide you with a framework to improve hiring and termination processes and everything in between. You’ll receive important checklists for hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, and termination, as well as the required paperwork for Colorado employees. Join us and learn everything you need to know about employees/teams—from the day they walk into your business to the day they leave. You will learn the steps in the employee life cycle: 1. What to do before you hire someone, 2. How to orient them to your company; 3. How to effectively set expectations and manage their behavior 4. Speaker(s): Meet Our Speaker Courtney Berg is a consultant and highly credentialed and gifted public speaker, with more than 30 years experience in human resources and operations management. During that time, she has held many management positions, from front-line supervisor to senior executive positions in both HR and operations. Courtney has worked with for-profit, not-for-profit clients in a myriad of industries including healthcare, insurance, hospitality, retail, education, technology, and manufacturing. She is passionate about HR issues, leading people, and designing management and HR systems and philosophies to improve employee engagement, performance, and productivity. Courtney is a member of the Colorado Small Business Advisory Council was featured in “How to Conduct Annual Employee Reviews” in Inc. Magazine, a published author and a national speaker. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management and both SHRM-SCP and SPHR professional certifications.
