Finding Your Right Market
Developing a successful business begins with discovering your target audience (your real customers). What do you currently know about your customer? Why do they buy items from the industry you are in? In other words, what are they really looking for and can you meet their need with your business? By learning what to ask customers and others you will be able to make a list of all the reasons someone might choose to do business with you. In this class learn how to conduct short interviews with potential customers to discover their real needs. You should be able to pull out one or two things you believe your business really delivers and see which customer needs are really being met to validate your true customer. Using the information collected you will learn how to evaluate how well you will be able to meet the needs of your customers. You will also learn how to convey the strong benefit to the customer from your product or service, and how to use this to position your business in the market.
