Plan the successful launch or growth of your business with the Startup Roadmap workshop. Instructors will use the Business Model Canvas to identify key challenges you’ll need to address as your business grows. Attendees can expect to: • Begin a draft of their Business Model Canvas • Understand how it serves as a foundation for a business plan • Draft basic financial projections and understand cash-flow vs. income • Be provided a list of resources to dig deeper Startup Roadmap is a three-hour, hands-on workshop with a focus on making key business concepts clear, accessible and actionable.

Speaker(s): Bing Chou, DealerHQ and Ian Netherton, CPA/ABV, CGMA

Speaker bios: Bing Chou is currently VP Product at DealerHQ, a Boulder-based startup providing web software to auto dealerships across North America. Prior to joining DealerHQ, he had launched a small business of his own, earned his MBA, and worked for the Boulder SBDC. Outside of the office he spends his time advising a variety companies on a volunteer basis and sits on the Downtown Boulder, Inc. board. Ian Netherton works with emerging businesses helping them navigate the complexity of their growth. His background and expertise span tax, financial reporting, valuation and advisory services. He serves as an adjunct finance officer for several early growth corporations. He is presently also a member of a local business valuation firm which serves clients across the nation. Before his consulting career, Ian managed the capital analysis for a large travel and luxury company. Ian started his career in public accounting primarily in a tax capacity. Ian is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Ian is also Accredited in Business Valuation by the AICPA. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with dual degrees in Accounting and Management. He is presently a member of the AICPA and the Rockies Venture Club.
