Cybersecurity for Small Business: What? So What? Now What?

Dec

Tue 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Online
Facilitated by Pikes Peak SBDC
Topic: Cybersecurity

Description:

Cyber-attacks are a growing threat for small businesses in the U.S. According to the FBI’s Internet Crime Report, the cost of cybercrimes reached $2.7 billion in 2018 alone and that number continues to grow. Small businesses are attractive targets because they have information that cybercriminals want, and they typically lack the security infrastructure of larger businesses. COVID-19 has accelerated the pace at which many small businesses are adding IT solutions for remote work, online meetings, electronic bidding, data collection in the field, and more.

This webinar will cover the basics of what you need to do to protect your business. You'll learn security best practices (and worst practices) for teleworking, videoconferencing, remote team meetings, and personal devices for business. We'll also help you figure out how to use in-house or outsourced IT support to make sure you're not vulnerable to cyber attacks. If you're struggling to keep up with the new online normal and make sure you're protected, this webinar is a great place to start!

Led by Jennifer Kurtz, a nationally-known cybersecurity expert who has written numerous books, articles, and blogs about cybersecruity.
