Communication Series - 3 part series

May

2023
Thu 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
3 sessions ending Thu, May 18
Topic: Customer Relations

Larimer SBDC training series are designed to give you topic-specific content from a variety of our Instructors over the course of a few weeks. Each month we focus on one or two business topics to delve into. Classes will vary between a live, virtual event or an On-demand recording. Workshops will be held in person (location details below).

Topics being covered in this series will include:

• Email is part of our daily work lives, but it’s also integral for building relationships with leads and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and employees. In this class, you will learn how to write messages with the audience in mind.

• Listening can be challenging since we often want to present our own ideas, but listening is an important part of communication. Because we are also the recipients of others’ ideas, developing listening skills can help us establish credibility with our colleagues, demonstrate empathy, avert difficult situations and conversations, overcome obstacles, and generally help us be better leaders.

• You don’t have to be a professional writer to do your job, BUT you can use strategies professional writers use to make your job easier. This class will teach you a 7-question process–developed through research on how professional writers plan, neuroscience, and effective outcomes–so that you can write anything faster and better.

For the discounted price of $30 you will receive:

1 registration for Email: A critical tool for managing and building relationships 5/4/23 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM (in-person at FRCC Harmony Library – East Room)
