Leading Edge: Business Training for Family Child Care Providers
The Grand Junction SBDC's LEADING EDGE™ for Childcare Providers is created to help both licensed childcare providers (home-based) and those wishing to start a new venture in the child care industry. The program assists in strengthening business practices by learning tools and techniques to help manage the income, finances, and operations of a successful childcare business.
The Grand Junction SBDC is hosting this 3-hour training course with the goal of enhancing business owner skills. Child-care providers will earn 3 professional development hours through the Professional Development Information Systems (PDIS) by attending this training.
This program is a collaborative between the Mesa County Partnership for Children and Families, the State of Colorado’s Department of Early Childhood (CDHS), the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the Colorado SBDC network. A primary objective of this project is to strengthen the childcare provider business model and enhance business owner skills so that these critically important services can continue to support our local economies.
Dinner will be provided.
