A workshop for small businesses and small scale inventors interested in learning more or have questions regarding intellectual property. Small businesses and inventors will receive an introduction on topics such as:
Determining which intellectual property you have - patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets.
Patenting process - US, Europe and beyond.
When do you need to apply - decision tree for inventors and patent-owner small businesses.
This 2-hour course hosted by the Business Incubator Center and instructed by Sarah Wang, Patent Attorney will focus on specifics in General Technology (fabric, medical, construction, liquid, software), Manufacturing, nuances and international process of patenting.

Sarah Wang is a registered patent attorney, whose practice is directed to all aspects of patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in the fields of chemical and mechanical arts, with foreign and domestic clients. Ms. Wang is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and has provided patent prosecution seminar presentations in both Mandarin Chinese and English in Taiwan.
In 2018, she moved from Washington D.C., where she worked for 5 years as a private law firm patent attorney, to Delta, CO, where her husband, State Representative Matt Soper, resides. Since moving to Colorado, she has been working part time and remotely from home for a patent law firm, MH2 Technology Law Group, located in the D.C. metro area, while helping and traveling with her husband between his legislative district and Denver as his campaign manager, logistics coordinator, etc.
