EXCLUSIVELY FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO COMPLETED THE OSHA 4-HOUR DIGGING DEEPER INTO CONSTRUCTION TRENCHING AND EXCAVATION HAZARDS

Connect2DOT and the Aurora-South Metro SBDC have partnered again with Red Rocks Community College to provide an "add on" Train-the-Trainer module for managers and employees who completed the previous OSHA 4-hour course (English or Spanish). This is a unique opportunity to get trained as a trainer in just 3.5 hours rather than completing the entire 7.5 hour OSHA Train-the-Trainer course.

Unsafe behavior is a habit that is contagious. Witnessing an unsafe act can have residual negative impact on fellow workers. One worker’s bad behavior can make another more susceptible to forming unsafe habits. This two-part webinar encourages workers to habituate safe cues and be open to new habits that improve their lives. It will enable field supervisors and crew leads to improve team building, mentoring trench safety habit awareness and to develop skills in conflict resolution.

Authorization to Train:
Upon successfully completing the Train-the-Trainer course, you will be authorized by the Rocky Mountain Education Center (RMEC) to instruct the OSHA Susan Harwood Grant Digging Deeper into Construction Trenching and Excavation Hazards Course. You may train participants either in-person (complying with your state’s COVID physical distancing and safety rules) or in one or more synchronous video conferences. RMEC will provide materials, registration and completion certificates at no cost to you, the company (of fewer than 250 employees) or the participants. You will receive a Memorandum of Agreement with RMEC and additional instructions after you complete both evenings the Train-the-Trainer course.

Speakers:
Agnes Tallamantez Carroll, OSHA Authorized Trainer, will lead you through the management module so you will know how to deliver trench safety training to your co-workers and employees. She will be joined by Dr. John Dunsmore, Director of Business Innovation for the Rocky Mountain Education Center at Red Rocks Community College.
