Description:

Are you considering using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for your business? Or maybe you already use it but know that you're not using it to its fullest potential?  Then plan to take our "test drive" hands-on workshop facilitated by a local QuickBooks ProAdvisor!

What's the difference between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online?

Part I (Introduction) will cover:

  1. Features, benefits, and summary of file types
  2. Navigating Home Page/Dashboard, Insights, & Settings/Preferences
  3. Importing Customers, Vendors, Products & Services lists
  4. Setting up your chart of accounts
  5. Setting up users
  6. Creating customers and vendors
  7. Connecting your bank account to QuickBooks
  8. Creating customer invoices
  9. Recording bank deposits
  10. Entering bills & writing checks
  11. Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  12. Recording credit card charges

Prerequisite (recommended):  Basics of Bookkeeping - we highly recommend attending Basics of Bookkeeping which teaches basic accounting concepts that you will find very helpful during the QBDT training.

Part 2 (Mastering) will cover:

  1. Inventory set-up and use
  2. Creating Purchase Orders
  3. Creating Estimates
  4. Setting up employees, tracking time, and processing payroll
  5. Reports
  6. Sales Tax set-up
  7. Credit Card processing
  8. Journal entries
  9. Intuit App Center

Additional Info:

This class is followed by QuickBooks Desktop Part 2, typically one week after Part 1. The course is offered quarterly. A QuickBooks (Online Version) course is also offered quarterly. It is not required to take Part 1 before Part 2.
